Works such as spraying or spreading fertilizers require knowledge of the speed at which the tractor moves to determine the amount of liquid sprayed per hectare or the amount of fertilizer to be sown. This can be done on the proverbial eye but it is by no means justified when the tractor can be retrofitted with a speedometer at a low cost.
For the purposes of such work, a bicycle meter works quite well, the cost of which usually will not exceed PLN 50. You only need a moment to mount it and properly calibrate it to indicate the correct speed. It is important to buy a wired meter in which you will have to extend the wires, but thanks to this the signal from the sensor mounted on the front wheel will flow smoothly. For wireless models, the sensor must not be more than 1 m away from the meter, which is definitely too short for a tractor.
The first thing to do is to install a wheel speed counter sensor, preferably on the front axle (especially for machines without a front drive). In the case of Ursus C-360, the best place for this is the right front stub, to which a piece of rod to which the sensor should be mounted should be welded.
